A long-term initiative, here are the current major projects being worked on under the George Town Revitalisation Initiative.
SEAFARERS WAY
Additional street lighting and new “sharrows” to create a shared lane environment for cyclists and motorists are making this main road a safer place no matter your mode of transport.
HEROES SQUARE
Lighting, seating, landscaping and paved pedestrian crossings are helping to create more pedestrian-friendly zoning whilst updates to underground systems will ensure our capital remains functional for years to come.
CARDINALL AVENUE
The pedestrianisation of our most famous shopping street, including new street lighting, landscaping, street furniture and underground infrastructure, is creating a highly attractive destination for visitors and a richer urban experience for residents.
SCRANTON
CENTRAL PARK
This new green space nestled within the central business district will create a communal space for the residents of the Scranton neighbourhood and better connectivity by foot between Shedden Road and Elgin Avenue.
